Statistics show that there have already been 188 homicides in 2012. Philly is also ranked 3rd out of 50 states for high African American murder rates. The violence in the city has taken a lot of innocent lives, & people are afraid to go out. This is the city of brotherly love and we most restore the love and Peace. Everyday someone is losing a close friend or family member due to violence and this must be stopped!! We’re looking forward to seeing you & getting your opinion about what can be done to reduce violence at our Town hall meeting.

Today on this #BonusSession we speak with director Sean Fahey, creator of “Beyond Tahrir” which is a co-production between Endless Eye filmmakers Sean Fahey & Jeremiah Hammerling and Alef Lam Mim’s Ahmed Rehab, Laith Saud, & M. Yaser Tabbara, Beyond Tahrir follows the life of several activists both during and after the revolution. Our activists come from a wide variety of political backgrounds. Gehad Saif is a nationalist focused on social equity; his passion and charisma is contagious. We will follow him into his production studio where his ideals are transformed into hip-hop. But on the other side, we glean into the world of the Muslim Brotherhood and get a sense of their roots in Egypt and the diversity of their members. Along the way we meet artists like Hany Adel, who discusses the inspiration of the people and how important it was to give music back. Beyond Tahrir is dedicated to fulfilling the vision of the revolution according to the ideals of the revolution itself—democratically.
